May 13, 2013 - SGS Technologie Taking Care of Business at State of Florida
On a visit to several CIO's in Tallahassee, Florida, Arun Venkatesan, SGS Technologie's president, and Libby Conner, business development director, pause in front of the Capitol Building on a beautiful spring morning. Working from SGS' Tallahassee office, company representatives gather requirements for IT consulting and software development projects from clients among the State agencies working on enhancements to systems, adding highly skilled programmers, quality assurance and business analysts, and the like. A GSA certified company, SGS Technologie bids on website development, mobile applications and other technology advances being considered by State government departments to increase efficiency, save money for State of Florida IT budgets and serve the constituents of their agencies. The State of Florida is our headquarters' home, and SGS is uniquely qualified to be an outstanding partner in these endeavors. Our company has earned the trust of many Florida municipal and county departments, including Duval County Public Schools, the City of Jacksonville, Jacksonville Port Authority, Volusia County, Workforce Northeast Florida and the Jacksonville Electric Authority.
2013 CIO Summit
The 2013 CIO Summit was held on April 18, at the Jacksonville Marriott hotel. CIO's from prominent companies and technologists attended this event. SGS Technologie hosted a job fair during pre-event networking followed by the key event, a panel discussion with four IT executives from the Jacksonville business community. Included on the panel were Maurice Campbell, Senior IT Manager for Jacksonville Transportation Authority, Bernie Rice, CIO of Nemours Hospital, Wanyonyi Kendrick, CIO of Jacksonville Electric Authority, and Kathleen Brandt, CIO of CSX. The panel covered the following topics: BYOC and consumerization of IT, Social Mobile Analytics & Cloud Technologies, and developing a high tech talent pool. After the panel discussion, there were many questions from the audience on the featured topics. This yearly event was well attended, sponsored by SGS Technologie and Indo-US Chamber of Commerce Northeast Florida.SGS is Awarded the Contract with City of Jacksonville in January 2012
We are proud to announce that SGS was awarded the prestigious contract for complete "Computer Related Services" from the City of Jacksonville, Florida. According to the Contract, SGS Technologie will provide all Information Technology related Services for "The City of Jacksonville". SGS' President stated "Providing the City of Jacksonville, FL its computer related services is an honor and a privilege. We stand ready to provide those IT related services which impact the city employees and Jacksonville residents."
SGS Technologie has signed a contract with Highpowerv to create a discount card application using Microsoft .NET and SQL server. Managing Director R.K. Venkatraman and CEO David Anand from Highpowerv were onboard to sign the contract. SGS is delighted that we were selected as the vendor of choice and will deliver an innovative product and solution that will benefit Highpowerv's customers faster and strengthen their position in the marketplace.
Our Jacksonville, FL, SGS team walked 2 miles over two bridges Thursday night Nov 1 in the annual Light The Night Walk for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, raising almost one thousand dollars in donations over the past months. Families, corporate teams, individuals, all carrying gold lighted balloons in memory, white balloons as survivors, and red balloons to bring hope for those battling cancer made up the several thousand First Coast walkers who participated. Grateful thanks to our employees, clients and friends who contributed funds, T shirts and banners on behalf of LLS' lifesaving research and crucial patient services.
