Mobile App Development

Discovery process can be defined as the roadmap for development of any project. SGS Technologie is an experienced mobile application development company in Florida that uses a discovery process to find answers for the best design, development, UX/UI, and overall mobile app development. We recognize that the answers will give us comprehensive answers to client requirements.  These answers could include,

  • Information for base of the proposed mobile app.
  • Information on its advantage to the end-user.
  • Required features that will determine the user interface and user experience of the mobile app.
  • Identifying a wireframe.

In short, Product Discovery is the phase where we are focused on building the right thing, as opposed to building the thing right.  SGS’ product discovery session journeys through product strategy, product definition, visualization, and presentation.  This post describes each phase in our discovery along with design process.

Product Strategy

First, a leading mobile development company such as SGS completely understands the requirements and expectations of the mobile product to outline its product strategy. Steps in this stage include identifying,

  • The objective of the app
  • Business case it will deliver
  • Challenges it can solve
  • What the end-user requires.

SGS gets a comprehensive outline of the mobile app required by a client. This is crucial as we need to know where we are going and ways to reach that destination. That is, the intended mobile application and the tools as well as resources required to develop it.

Product Definition

Also known as ideation, SGS' team generates, captures and prioritizes the core features of a Minimum Viable Product regarding the application. We start with the creation of a master list of all the features that have to be included in the final app. Using this list, our product teams start organizing and modifying features to keep the product useful as well as user-friendly. In summary, we will prioritize mobile app features. Analysis will be done on what is the major issue target users are experiencing and how our proposed app will solve that problem. Based on answers to these, we will formulate user journeys that produce effective UX designs.

Visualization

SGS then focuses on creating a visual solution that details the product’s UX and user interface (UI) design. We will define the visual representation of the finalized user journey and capture user value in the product’s UX along with UI design. Result will be a well-defined product wireframe. That is, a proper outline will be given on how different features of the proposed app come together to create the entire user experience.

Prototyping

All the previous deliverables will be combined to create a clickable prototype. This will help our product team learn how target users would interact with the “rough draft” of a product to uncover new solutions or determine whether the existing solution is successful. The learnings from a prototype then would enable us to reframe one or several of the problems identified from the stages. This prototype will be shared with the client and modifications (if any) would be made after reviewing.

This is an outline of our mobile application development processes. But a lot more would be involved in meeting the unique requirements of individual clients.  Reach out to us for more discussion on what we can do for you, how we will do it and why you can reply on SGS for mobile app development. These discussions can be held at our headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida, or in any of our offices. at Tallahassee (FL), Tampa (FL), and Frisco (TX).
